About

I retired from a corporate/technical position about four years ago in order to shift back to early life interests in languages and communication.  To test the waters, I volunteer-tutored English to adults in Center City Philadelphia for two years.  I also did some private tutoring, focusing on helping advanced learners strengthen their skills. All of these experiences were thoroughly gratifying, so I decided to try teaching classes.  I enrolled in a one-month intensive TEFL course at Lado International College in Washington, D.C.  I didn’t learn how to be a teacher so much as I learned, in detail, just much more I needed to grow!

Since then, I’ve been teaching free English classes to adults in Philadelphia.  This assignment is highly dynamic (hence the title of this blog).  I hope my learners have benefited.  I know that I have.
